Few days ago, I was invited by Falcon Publishing to attend a serial novels launch. And they provided me Amaris La Codefin Kemang, a member of Santika Hotel Groups.
Among the 108 total rooms it has, I’ve got Smart Twin Room type. Sure, it’s twin bed! Because I shared room with another Falcon’s writer, Bernard Batubara. I can’t imagine if we were in Smart Queen Room and shared the queen bed. Ha!
Although my room was pretty tiny, I liked it. Everything was clean and functioned: AC, television, hot water, etc.
Amaris Hotel La Codefin Kemang was designed in modern, clean and chic style.
It’s strategically located too. The hotel is only 6.3 kilometers away from the city center. To Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport (HLP), it’s just 8.7 kilometers away, and 22.2 kilometers from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).
From the Duren Kalibata and Pasar Minggu Baru Train Station, it’s just about 4 kilometers. Restaurants, ATMs, and convenient stores are at walking range.

Some problem occurred when we checked-in lately. The receptionists didn’t know who was the booker. So we had to wait like 15 or 20 minutes until it was clarified.
Another little trouble was, there wasn’t any towel in my room. I called the receptionist but they didn’t bring it out soon. I think, this is typically 3-starred hotel or lower range: slow response when you ask them through the phone.
But the staffs were very friendly, despite of that.
The wi-fi was excellent, it made me stay up until dawn for streaming some comedy videos.
The buffet breakfast in @Xpress was delicious too. Good ambiance of restaurant.
However, I was disappointed since I knew that (quite) big hotel doesn’t have any sport facilities. No gym, fitness center, let alone swimming pool. Too bad!
So, though I only stayed for one night, I can tell you that Amaris Hotel La Codefin Kemang Jakarta is good for business guests, not for recreational tourists.
